Mount Athos Resort is a five-star seaside resort located on the Athos peninsula—the third and most tranquil part of Halkidiki.

Set right by the harbour of Ierissos and just steps from a private Blue Flag sandy beach, the resort offers a relaxed setting surrounded by nature, with easy access to the Holy Mountain, only 10 km away.

The property features 74 rooms and suites across the main building and private bungalows, designed for both families and guests looking for comfort and a well-balanced stay.

Guests can enjoy a 40-metre infinity pool, a dedicated kids’ pool, three dining venues, and a range of activities for both adults and children — everything in place for a complete and easy holiday.

The Hotel

The main building traces its origins back to 1967, when the original Mount Athos Hotel became a preferred retreat for Greek high society, thanks to its exceptional harbourside location.

In 2020, the property was fully renovated and reintroduced under new ownership—preserving the spirit of the original architecture while bringing in a refined, contemporary design.

Today, the building features 61 rooms and suites, positioned directly above the harbour and beach. Most offer open views of the sea or port, with interiors designed to balance comfort, elegance and a strong sense of place.

The Bungalows

The resort’s 13 bungalow suites are set in a separate area close to the main building, offering a quieter and more private stay.

Each suite features its own terrace with lounge seating and views of the sea or the resort’s gardens.

Designed with space and comfort in mind, the bungalows are well suited for families with kids or guests who prefer a bit more privacy—while staying close to all resort facilities.

The resort offers three dining venues and a lobby bar - covering everything from relaxed daytime meals to evening dining.

• The Main Restaurant serves breakfast in a comfortable setting to start the day.

• The Beach & Pool Bar serves fresh dishes, snacks and drinks throughout the day, available both by the pool and on the beach.

• Leuko Kochili Tavern is open for dinner, focusing on modern Greek cuisine, with live music on selected evenings.

• The Lobby Bar is the place for a morning coffee or a cocktail at sunset.

Pools & Beach

The resort features a private sandy beach, awarded the Blue Flag, located just steps from both the main building and the bungalows. Sunbeds, towels and beachside service from the bar are available throughout the day.
